Parodia Herteri Inquiry..

My parodia herteri gave me lots of seeds this summer.
I sowed all the seeds from one of the buds a couple of weeks ago and so far only one seed germinated.

Is this right or am I doing something wrong

btw. I'm using the plastic bag method keeping the little pot very humid.

The flower might not have been pollinated very effectively, so much of the seed may be dud. Give it a while before you panic though.

Funny thing is, this is the species that I've grown most successfully from seed - only trouble is that I had nothing to do with it.

I just left the fruits go and all around the base of the plant were the many babies!
