Hi all,
I'm glad to see we are still mostly alive after a difficult year. I have a question:
What for you denotes objective growth in globular cacti? Is it the emergence of new spines? If so, would you consider an observable horizontal 'expansion' of the plant with no new spination growth?

Re: Identifiers of Growth
Horizontal expansions can be caused by the plant taking up water. I usually look for new spines showing up at the top of the plant.

New ribs, stems, buds or offsets are also signs of growth. Just expansion can be just water intake,so better look for a new tissue with different colour (of the stem).
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
