Lithops with very little roots. What should I do?

Post by Dodi Russell »

I brought a lithop today and it doesn't have a healthy root system. it was potted in a mix ( I think it is Miracle grow) it holds a lot of water.
What should I do to my lithops ( this is my very first lithop).
That's the soil it came in.

What is the size of your lithops? It looks like a seedling with healthy roots to me. You can plant it in a gritty mix now.
In our climate I would just mist it couple times before winter rest.

Thanks a lot. I just potted it and how long should I wait till I water it. the owner used to do it every month so he told me to water it this week. Should I water it this week.

And is there really a winter season for these lithops in a tropical climate.
