Andy I'm not sure the exact name of the bicolor. I got that plant from the supermarket last year. I have been waiting and waiting for a flower to defenatly call it a bicolor of some sort.
Darryl and Peter we normaly have lizards all over the place by this time of year. So far have not seen one, only this skink. I think the unusualy cold winter might have done them in

Dustin,
I like lizards. They are fun to watch, and like I said they are fast!
BTW for all the nature lovers out there I wouldn't even intentionally hit one
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

I feel your pain, Dustin. I went outside this morning to look at my plants, only to find this. ARGH.

Whatever got the loph had a mind bending experience!

Thanks guys, yea whatever ate the loph abruptly stopped either due to alkaloids, or systemics. Which ever it was I'm sure it was fun at first lol.
As for missing blooms, in the past 4 days I missed some copiapoa, loph's, parodia, and matucana. Ugh I loved the unemployment days LOL!!!

Man, I can totally relate. I just posted two that I missed here:

Were any of those "first timers"? I had seen mine before so that made it not as bad.

The only first timer was the copiapoa. It did a round of blooms about a month ago, and missed them aswell. I bet it looked really nice with 7 blooms

Sorry about you missing them. I can't stand when I go out in the greenhouse in the evening and find freshly closed flowers, that don't open again! The Flowering plant look beautiful though!
