Hey, if that's an invitation, I'm takin' you up on it next time! We were up in Cottonwood. Most of the pictures I will be sharing are from stops along Hwy 60. Looking at your setup in the other post makes a visit look right up my ally!

Well your always welcome, I even have a extra room, things around here are always in a state of change, building a nursery from the ground up without any debt is a major undertaking.. but I'm told slow and steady wins the race :)

LOL,, yeah I know, ifyou really want an interesting read I have the turtleman story posted on my site.. kinda funny that I race off road dirt bikes in the National Seires called "Hare & Hounds,, but the whole name thing started because I raced an event in a turtle suit :|

mavez,

Great photo. Where was this one during the Macro contest??

A great view of the plumose spination of this plant which provided the inspiration for the species name.

Hi GeneS:

Yeap, plumosa is a beauty....all the Mamms are beauty for me, but no one like luethyi, I?m a lillte disappointed...Heeey Dominique where are the pictures of my favorite... my pictures of luethyi are very bad.....
Another special is pectinifera....but there are a lot.... honestly I make a casting...you casn see six more mamms in my photobucket album:

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... asting.jpg

pectinifera, heydery, carmenae, luethyi, potsii, lasiacantha

I decided to keep plumosa, In my opinion my plumosa picture shows more than the others how spectacular can be this genus.....so I confess I don?t have a good shot of luethyi...lets keep tryng.
