Nice plants, flower buds and flowers!
A cactus and succulent collector who especially likes Ariocarpus. …Though I have a bit of everything! Want some pictures? See my flickr! I also do art and such.
Re: Josh's 2012
looking great as always! knowltonii used to flower pretty early for me. I killed the one I had by letting it get summer rain when the nights were 80-90F here. I miss that plant!

Re: Josh's 2012
This weekend Titanopsis schwantesii was flowering.
Re: Josh's 2012
Nice - nearly made boo-boo with my schwantesii by moving it where late afternoon sun can just get to it, scorched that side a little, but all is well now! Very dainty flower centres!

Re: Josh's 2012
The get kind of pink in the sun for me (the rosette in the back is more stressed), but so far seem fairly tough. I don't water them much in summer, and they get a lot of light/heat then.
Re: Josh's 2012
Mine also gets sun most of the day but through plastic roof, they are nice and compact, but as the sun moves towards afternoon it get in under the roof and can be lethal to unaccustomed plants. So the blame is with me.

These guys have been flowering for the past week:
Neochilenia 1034.2-nidus f. senilis
Turbinicarpus valdezianus
Many of the other troops are mobilizing as well.

Yep, there isn't enough light for non-flash photography when I get home from work. Days are getting longer fast though!

Re: Josh's 2012
Today the first echinopsis/trichocereus bloomed. Trichocereus "1283.436-lobivioides 'grandiflorus' hybrids, huge colorful flowers" sown 10/06
And he's got siblings getting ready to join the party (all same batch except the tershekii at back left). Three are barrel-like and two are smaller and offset more.

That's a unique color combination on the Trichocereus. I have about a dozen Trichos and they all have spectacular flowers. Keep up the good work!
