g'day folks, just found this site today & was very impressed, so decided to join in & introduce myself. have been fascinated by cacti/succulents for years but haven't been able to learn much about them due to other commitments, so I'm looking forward now to LEARN & COLLECT :lol: WHOOPEE

Another Aussie! This is great. Right now, you guys will be checking all of our flower pics, but we rely heavily on you Southern Hemisphere folk to keep us going through our winter!

thanks for the welcome folks & especially for the warnings; however, I'm afraid it's too late, I caught the collecting bug at a very early age, cacti is only an extension of the disease & yes I have already got an opuntia. however, my total collection only cosists of 12 cacti & 19 succulents, of these only 6 are named (in WA all cacti purchased are called CACTI). strewth, trying to sort out names to match collection!!! :lol:

Take some photos of your un-named plants and post them under 'help with identification'. there are heaps of really knowledgable folk around here who will be able to help you out. :wink:
