Ok, Cuda asked for pics of the box turtle and I didn't take any. I'll get one shortly, but here is what I did take yesterday:
Red-Eyed Tree Frog
Close up of Chinese Water Dragon - we have two of these that were rescues - previous owners had them in glass tanks and so they busted up their jaws. You can tell his mouth isn't right. The other guy is worse, but they are both healthy.
Full body shot
Bibron's Gecko - this guys is diurnal so I see him often, but still extremely shy!
The Golden Gecko is nocturnal and I only see him often enough to know he is still alive. Aside from being shy, they are extremely fast!
Boa head shot - bod is just over 6 feet
One more for now: D. auratus. Taken through glass so the blurry spots are water drops out of focus. The one to the right is not a reflection, that is his buddy.

Cool frogs and reptiles, Daiv. The blue frog is just beautiful.
Why would water dragons bust up their jaws if kept in a glass tank?
Moonbeam, I love the shot of Barley sniffing the rose. He's adorable!

Aparently the concept of glass - an 'invisable' wall - is something they can't figure out. So they run full speed right into it. Hard enough to bust their jaws!CelticRose wrote: Why would water dragons bust up their jaws if kept in a glass tank?
A vet cared for these two until they were stable and then gave them to the Minnesota Herp Society. We're members and we adopted them at the meeting. A number of our animals are unwanted animals that we adopted.

Well they are all in the house and we keep it comfortably warm in here (wood heat).TimN wrote:This all begs the question, do you have little hats and mittens for these beauties in the winter? I guess the boa would just need a long sock...
But in addition to that, they have basking lights and UV lights to keep them warm and healthy.

This is Stella, almost 4 years old Golden Retriever.
On my brother's motorbike. No comment.
This is Lupe (almost 8 years old, female, German Shepard, adopted when we lived in Ecuador) staring at Stella doing her "I run like Flash Gordon" thing, in the back yard in Italy.
Here you can find some photos of Rospina, the almost 18 years old Maine Coon mix we adopted when we lived in Gabon in '91.

I have a lot of photos of 'da pets' and only posted a few on the website, so I took just 2 to upload here.
