Kev,
I am in LOVE with Maxi. My husband and I are thinking about adopting a Westie from a Westie Rescue in Southern California. Our Jack Russell is in need of a playmate.
I might have to PM you to ask some questions about the breed. We have done some research, but it is sooo much better to get real (and true) answers from a fellow owner.

Ok, I'll add some pictures too...
Very humid - hard to get a clear shot...
A suspicious looking pair:
One laid back dude:
Don't mess with me:
These guys are extremely shy:
Some reflexion of the glass here:
Nocturnal - I had to tickle him a bit to get his eyes open:

Ohhhhh exotic frogs and scorpion. I like! Big fan of reptiles too. The last frog looks like something from outer space.

Ooh Daiv I'm jealous! Always wanted snakes & frogs. Scorpion is cool too, though personally cockroaches are the coolest "bugs" to keep (parents didn't go for that one though ). And Hablu your shetland is sooo cute.
So...all I've got now is fish. I've had others but since aquariums took over the house (and now plants are accumulating too) had to cut back on other pets. Oh and I've been leasing a crazy little morgan/welsh pony. Actually I haven't been leasing him during track season but will start again this summer.

You should, they're a lot of fun. A lot of fishkeepers keep plants and vice versa...guess they go well together since you can grow plants in tanks. And tropical fish make great additions to greenhouses for those of you who have one. Just so you can't say you weren't forewarned, fish are as or more addicting as cacti.....daiv wrote:Cool fish! I'd like to add an aquarium to the mix one day, but that won't be any time soon.

Phantom - I hear you. And it is mostly living space concerns right now. We're only staying in this place temporarily and will be moving out in a year or less. As it is, I've got an entire room that is nothing but critters.
Lewis - you bet - I like it all! Cactus, trees, fossils, rocks and minerals, animals, artifacts, plants, etc.
I tinker with other stuff now and then - like so:
