Pereskiopsis grafting

Post by Sankhara »

Last year i buyed some Pereskiopsis to start doing some cactus grafting.

After some growing... slow growing because i was moving to a new house... i decide to make an atempt to graft some of my seedlings on Pereskiopsis.

Just because i was giving a first try, i forgot to create an 100% humity chamber and i loose some seedlings.

I post here a pic of one of my seedlings on the day after. Even now (4 days later) i don´t know if i was suceed.

Next time i will garantee the 100% humity chamber.

looks good to me :) if you pinch the top, and the offsets that will appear, it will grow much faster :)

Unfortunatly... the graft's didn´t work out.

The scions were sacrificed to the cactus Gods, as Tony said.

Two possible problems. I didn´t graft to the vegetative part of the stock, i didn´t put them in a humity chamber.

Next time will work out
