Nice plants Lancer99, I agree with the first two, maybe Carnegiea gigantea
for the last one.

Hello!
Oreocereus celsianus OK, Mammillaria elongata v. rubispina for #2. #3 might be Carnegiea gigantea, but I'm not sure...

Ok, I think the first is probably NOT O. celsianus -the central spines seem to thin. I would lean more to O. trolii.

Agree on the second.

As for the third, I'd say 99.9% sure it is Carnegiea gigantea - the down-turned central spine is a pretty good indicator for these.

A few weeks ago, i'd have been surprised too. My wife and i visited some of the HDs and Lowes out in Palm Springs (been there alot, just never went to the big box stores) Holy smokes man!! They have all kinds of great stuff, it was in shock. Where normally they have a small table area...these places had like 20 tables and whole sections for the larger ones. It was like an actual nursery  Infact, i think C&S dominated the whole garden center.

Pachys, Agaves, Aloes, large specimens all the way down to the regular 2.5inchers. Species that ya just don't see at these places.

So it just goes to show, it's still about location, location, location :D

I wish my HD were that good...in fact they've just downsized their cactus/succulent section.

Ordinarily I shy away from buying anything unlabelled, even if it is a bargain. With the genera I'm unfamiliar with (most!), it's just too hard to track them down, even on the net.

But now that I've found some experts, y'all can expect me to bug you with more ID questions soon :)
