hehehe, he's so intent on figuring out what it is
Great pics Daiv.
CV, man, thats a crazy pic! I've never seen it before, thanks for bringing it out of storage
Here is an accompanying pic from my submission. Momma Morning Dove keeping the babies all snuggly wuggly.
They might look cute, but they've become a PITA. Trying to make nests in all but 2 of our other hanging pots...they are always flying around the yard and porch, hanging out on the fence, waiting... Grrrr dang birds!
and another of the babies, albeit out of focus. I just held the camera up and clicked...

Darryl,
I had the exact same thing happening in my hanging pots. At first it was fun, but then I ended up putting sticks in my pots to keep them out. After the first batch of them got big enough and left the nest, I inspected the pot they were in. It was teeming with mites! I was so grossed out, I don't even remember what I ended up doing with the plant. I might have tossed it out. I had to hose off the pot and quarantine it for some time.
Take a close look at the birds and the next, you will see them crawling all over -it's pretty nasty!

Hi Everyone!
I am Erika, a longtime "lurker" who recently became an "official" member. I thought I would share a picture of what can happen when an animal and a cactus collide.
Midori is a very curios Jack Russell Terrier who punctured his cornea with what the vet describes as a "thorn" or "thin branch." My husband blames the cacti, I blame an ugly bush in the backyard. Needless to say, the backyard got a complete makeover and my larger cacti need a new home.
