Whats on my cactus?

I saw these small white spots on it the other night and then all the sudden they are covering whole plant. I'm not sure what type of cacti it is, might be a succulent but it has spines so i guess cacti.

It's near impossible to tell from the pic, but my guess would be scale.

After looking up some images and reading on the forum it is indeed scales, Thanks for the help.
