Got a cactus for gift

Hello guys, i just got a cacti for gift, for me it seems gymnocalycium species, i just want to ask for your help guys to identify it, thanks..

It's Parodia (Notocactus) mammulosa.

Agree with Nino, but probably the longest spined form of Parodia (Notocactus) mammulosa known an N. turecekianus.

Notocactus mammulosus used to be split into three different species. N. mammulosus shortest spines. N. submammulosus longer spines and N. turecekianus longest spines. In recent times they have been lumped into synonymy under the oldest name Notocactus mammulosus or Parodia mammulosa (since the specific name ending is required to match the gender of the generic name).

Incidentally Ossy the easy way to tell a Gymnocalycium apart from many other genera is neither the buds, flower tube or fruits have any hairs or bristles on them like your Notocactus (Parodia) does.

"The genus name Gymnocalycium (from Greek, "naked calyx") refers to the flower buds bearing no hair or spines."
