Agave's and Tequila
I am a total n00b when it comes to Cacti, I am totally and completely lost with all the names and species, etc...so i hope this isn't old news or common knowledge. but i found this very interesting.

Also brings to mind the story behind the naming of the Baja California plant Agave sobria. So named by noted Baja explorer and botanist, Reed Moran. He called it sobria because, as far as he knew, it was the only agave that wasn't used to make pulque or mezcal

they cut all the leaves off so its just the core and you would have to furmint it and distill in a still it.
witch is kinda dangerous if you cant maintain the rite temp you can get methanol instead of ethanol witch causes blindness you can throw a few lophorias in it and make sum true mezcal (based on the word mescaline)
