Hello all! For the last year I've been babysitting a pair of my sister's cacti. Unfortunately she moved to an apartment without sun exposure, and worried that without adequate light they'd etoilate she asked me to take care of them until she could give them the conditions they need. She's not sure what species they are, and I'm hoping someone here knows.
I suspect the first one is a Parodia, but I have to admit I'm not the best with South American genuses so I can't pinpoint the species. She's done a great job with it so far; it bloomed like gangbusters last spring!
The second one looks like either a Mammillaria or an Escobaria. Hasn't flowered yet, which would be helpful for identification.
Thanks in advance,
Zac

Can't see pics.
Re: Cacti ID
Thanks, mmcavall! The M. schiedeana definitely looks like it's the one!
I don't know what happened to the pics in the original post... They worked initially, but now decided to be frustrating. Trying again.
Here's the possible Parodia
And here's the one that's most likely M. schiedeana

Re: Cacti ID
Agreed Mammillaria schiedeana. Certainly your sister grows healthy plants.
