Hi.
This cactus has a american quarter sized black spot.
Is it possible to cure or should I cut the spot.
It is a one metre tall cereus peruvianus monstruosa.
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Black spot on cereus peruvianus
It is a consequence of stress. Probably caused by high temperatures. I have noticed this on several of my Trichoseurusa pachanoi. Watch the video from Desert plant of Avalon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deCzO0q9aNg
Unfortunately, there will be a hole left when the cactus heals.
