Resize your photos so they are smaller than 500 KB using external sites like Picresize.com.
Save them on your computer.
Start your post or reply.
Click on "Full Editor & Preview"
Below the Save Draft, Preview, and Submit buttons to the left click on "Attachments"
Click on "Add Files" which will take you to your computer documents or pictures as you choose.
Find the picture you want to upload/post. Click on the file and it will show up under the add files box.
Add in a File Comment if you want- I added in "What is the file comment" for this demonstration to show where it will show up.
Click on "Place Inline" if you want to upload it. Click on "Delete File" if you don't want it. It will show up in the text area where you are typing your reply. You can move it, copy it, place it elsewhere in your post. It will be placed where your last typing took place.
When done with your reply, you click "Submit" and it should show up.

Photos can be added by dragging and dropping files from your desktop as well.

So, if you want more than one photo, it is best to use an external image hosting site like https://imgbb.com/login You have to register there. Once registered and logged in, you can upload your images. No size restriction except total size stored. Free accounts only have limited space. I have not gotten so far where I need to think about paying for the service. You are going to have to learn how to use the site you choose.

Once the image is uploaded, click in the select box in the upper right.
At the bottom of the photo, click on "Embed codes"
Click on the "Viewer Links" pull down box.
Click on "BBCode full"
Click "copy" to copy the code.
Paste the code in your reply.
Repeat as many times as you want with other photos
Click Submit and you are done.

I don't know how to do that. Care to give a detailed explanation?

1. open the "full editor and preview"
2. have your files on your desktop (though, make sure files are the right size)
3. drag and drop these files into the reply box
4. the files should appear below as attachments.
5. If you want to incorporate the photos in your post, rather than attachments at the bottom, use the "place inline"

I hope that was a thorough explanation... :)

OK Evan. Thanks for the description. Here goes. I copied a correct sized photo to my desktop. I had to learn how to drag from the desktop to the reply box. Ended up seeing two ">>" marks at my lower right bar that said Desktop. Clicked on it and got a listing of what is on the Desktop and saw my file. Dragged it into the reply box and see it showing up. I see how I can place inline, going to submit to see how it shows up as an attachment.

Everything on a website requires server storage space. Every time someone views the content, the website operator must pay for internet data and bandwidth. All of these cost money.

It's far from unreasonable to wish to minimise the costs of these things.

Alternatively, use an image hosting service like Imgur. Imgur is free and there are other free image hosting services if Imgur is not to your liking.
