Trichocereus bridgesii forma monstrous growth

Post by mikethecactusguy »

I've had this Trichocereus bridgesii forma monstrous for 6 months and it has been a prolific grower. 3 Months ago this segment appeared and went from green to this color over a few days. I just figured it would die off. It did not. This morning I notice the color change was starting creep into the segment below. So I performed surgery, removed it and treated the area with Sulphur. It does not appear to be rot since it never turned black and the tissue is hard not mushy.
