The plant is in a 5 cm.pot. I thought this was an E. obesa but E.meloformis was suggested by another member( in my blog). Looking at pics they both looks very much alike ( for me anyway) as young plants.

Actually yes ! Meloformis grows its flower on stalks, whereas obesa does not Also obesa is much more globular in shape, barely any noticable ribs.

Yeah looks like a female obesa. Seems there is quite some variation in shape, and I think it could be due to growing conditions. All my obesas are perfectly globular
