Starting a new Collection

Post by Generowicz »

Hey Guys & Girls,

A few years ago i moved back to Europe, However due to quarantine restrictions i could not take my collection with me :(
I have started a new collection which is still small. however im planning to expand it soon.

I am especially interested in the 2 cacti in the single image. They look like Lophophora to me but no idea which ones.
On another note as most of these have been bought from a general store i don't have the names for these and would greatly appreciate your help

or should i make a separate post for the Identification ?
As my collection grows i will continue to update it

No 2 looks like Mammillaria bombycina

No 6 Cleistocactus strausii?

Last one looks like a bit dishevelled Oreocereus.

As to Lophophora's it is easier when they flower since they can be variable within the same species.

No. 3 could be a Chamaecereus or Chamaecereus hybrid.

Nice start
No.1 possibly Anacampseros rufensces
No.4 could be graptoveria or sedum, it needs more light

Cactus finally has a flower. To me it looks like a Lophophora diffusa. Correct me if I'm wrong though
