Re: THEY need to be named
#3 is a Euphorbia of the Medusa-head type, maybe flanaganii
Re: THEY need to be named
Is that number 3 a cacti or be treated as a succulent? The shop owner told me they call it Medusa so I think that speaks for it but to be treated as a cactus, I dont see any spines or thorns or any signs it is a cactus what do you think?
Re: THEY need to be named
Euphorbias are not cacti (they belong to another family) - but they (or at least this one) are succulents - so, yes - treat it like a cactus
Re: THEY need to be named
Sorry man. Maybe I should try to research more. Just a beginner in this field and starting to like it.

No need to be sorry. It's alright you didn't know.
So maybe from now on 3-4 plants max per post and 2 photos per plant to show the characteristics
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
One of the few cactus lovers in Lebanon (zone 11a)![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: THEY need to be named
Number 1 is a bit odd looking.
The shape is your typical echinopsis oxygona type of plant...but it actually looks like a trichocereus![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Thanks a lot for the help guys, it means so much I promise that I will answer newbie question someday when I get expert too like you guys. I will research more thanks
Re: THEY need to be named
Some recommend removing reverted (normal) growth from cristates as it does tend to grow at the expense of the crest. You can usually root these down and get a normal plant, but occasionally they may even produce cristate growth themselves. It's merely a matter of personal choice.
Re: THEY need to be named
Number 4 looks like Rebutia krainziana
Re: THEY need to be named

Re: THEY need to be named
