My first flowering Lithop!

Post by Sandra_75 »

All my Lithops have same growing conditions .... some have rot .... and some doing excellent. This one flowered for me ..... 😍😀 The flower opens around 4pm and closes around 6pm. Only open 2h a day. Anyone knows if its how Lithops flowers are if not why does it only open for 2h a day? 🤔

That seems to be what my wife's lithops do for the most part.

It probably depends on how much sun intensity it gets, or the warmth of the room / greenhouse.
Days are getting shorter in Canada. I guess by 6 in the evening the sun is too low on the horizon to casts some real sun intensity, and OI don't know if your plant is in a greenhouse where warmth will stay in the greenhouse longer in the (already getting colder) evenings than inside a house.
