Hallo everybody,
for those who don't know me: I have been an active member on this forum for some years. Due to too much work I had to stop it. No, I am still not happy about that. As my Queens of the Night have both flowered wonderfully this year, I wanted to share the picture bootie (and b.t.w. post some questions).
There is a Selenicereus grandiflora, grown from seeds in 2006 in the Zurich "Sukkulentensammlung". (Gorgeous place! Visit it, if you can!) Also I have a Selenicereus donkelaari since 2007, grown from cuttings a friend gave me; he got the plant in Mexico in the beach forests. Both are incl. pot about 1.6m / 5.5ft high. S.d. grows fast as lightning, S.g. takes its time. This year, both flowered in some nights, in one the S.d. opened 29 (twentynine) flowers. Enjoy the show!
Yours
Nachtkrabb (Ruth)
PS: Dave, if you want any of the pictures for the Big Picture Poroject, feel free. Just say where they are from.
