i have a gymno like this, few month ago i post a photo here and no one konw what species is, anyway i love its big pink flowers

Have a look at Gymnocalycium calochlorum.
Forget the dog...Beware of the plants!!!

I looked at one before but it has more spines per areole than mine. Sue

The second one look more like a Gymno Denudatum hybrid.

Deffinately no Gymno Ritterianum's in here. I have one that I grew from seed in 1995 and it does'nt look like any of these. has massive green seed pods turning slightly yellow when ripe.

But then No 2 could Be Gymno Horstii var bueneckerii <-- if thats how you spell it.
