Not sure

But i've had experience with Chlorophytum for years.

Maybe you've overwatered it gov. You dont neccesarily have to give them too much , as they tend to store water in their semi tuberous roots. They can normaly take a bit of drying out.

I moved it into a place with less light and the leaves are unfolding now.

Completely the opposite from what I said.

I'd take a look at the plant again , and use your own judgement.

But if taking it out of direct sunlight has helped , thats good. But the leaves are very long. Is this plant normaly in a shady position ?

+ I cant see from here if the compost is dry or not.

It's about 4-5 ft from an east facing window. Is that good enough?

I think you should be fine. These plants tend to trail over the pot quite a bit in time. The varigated forms tend to be more rampant than the reverted green plants.

What we tend to do over the pond in these parts is get one of those rope hangers that you can fix to a hook in a wooden conservatory joist or your front porch , still indoors mind. Then you can just hang the whole plant and pot in mid air and let it do it's work.

My mother has one in her bathroom and thats on the east , it does'nt grumble at the extra moisteure in the air at times. As I said , if you look at the roots , some of them are wider and fleshy and are used to store more water. So I would guess this type of plant is used to a bit of fluctuation in the waterings dept.

Just let it do it's own thing , I would'nt wory bout it too much.
