buying cactii seeds

hi all!
Since i am new to this forum and new to growing cactii, i would like to know if I can buy the seeds.Is it possible to have them shipped to Bangalore,India?
Or, is there any place in India (that anyone may be aware of) from where I can buy the seeds?

A lot of seed distributors will ship worldwide, but you probably want a company that is fairly close by. The only lists I really know of are in Europe or the USA. However if you're interested in shipping seeds from Europe, then give Succseed and Koehres kakteen are both good. However, there will probably be sellers in India, so perhaps try and contact other growers in India.

i agree with CactusFanDan........re succseed I get excellent strike rates from them.....high quality fresh seeds are really important, some seed I have got from other seed house's has been more trouble than it was worth.........

Check into your country`s import laws. Generally seeds are less restricted than other plant parts, but each country is different.
Nicaragua, for example, started requiring triple paperwork for anything, including a phytosanitary cert for seeds. Not worth the trouble and cost.

Search online and in the phone book to see if there are sources in India. There are probably one of more cactus clubs in your country, too.
