Help - Euphorbia Obesa

Post by tonyh »

Hi Everyone
I need your help in identifing the problem of my cactus...
My Euphorbia Obesa was ok, but yesterday, i noticed the following:
- In one side it becomes dark and black...
- All over the cactus, it seems like it has been eaten by an insect or something...
What should I do?

Thank you very much
Tony

Hey tony, I don't grow much other than cacti, but looks a bit like too much water making the black. Definitely a hungry critter munching on it. I'm surprised at that considering it is a Euphorbia.

I've moved this to the Succulent Growing help where someone is more likely to find it that knows about this sort of thing.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

The black spot: is it soft? If so, I should say it's rot. I hope not, because in that case he cannot be saved. The black spot seems to big to cut out. Harry

Hi, you don't say where in the world you come from, but in my opinion, certainly if it was later in the year I would have said that was frost damage.
