congratulations subverted!

Thanks! Lots of great entries this time, I am surprised at how many people voted too; double the last contest's vote count!

What PeterB said!!
That's two in a row for Non-cacti succulents.
Excellent entries from everyone and a great winner.

Congrats! Nice picture of such a small, but nice, flower!
A cactus and succulent collector who especially likes Ariocarpus. …Though I have a bit of everything! Want some pictures? See my flickr! I also do art and such.

Well deserved, I think. It got my vote.peterb wrote:Hell froze over the day an Avonia won a photo contest at CactiGuide!

But disappointed the photo of cactushobbyman received no votes at all (was my second favourite).

Congrats! I'm always happy when a non-cactus wins on the most cactus obsessed board around!

What a great contest!
I think it helps having the reminder thread in the general section. Jens and John C really do a great job making sure the contests and voting start and end on time! So that makes it even better that we have more attention on the contests.
I used to send out a mass e-mail announcing the contests, but I always felt bad sending mass e-mail. Didn't want it to seem like spam. However, I just realized, members can click to be notified if the picture contest post is updated. So that would be a great way to "opt-in" to get an e-mail when the contests start.

All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
