The flowering season of my cold hardy plants is finished for this year.
Now is the time of preparing for the upcoming winter. For that I do fertilize the plants with a poash fertilizer.
It helps for a better growth finalization and it furthers a better bud development in the next spring.

My outdoor season is already finished since some weeks. At the end of October I've erected the usual rain cover.
That was the last what I've done for the flowerbed this year.

Finally there are the first signs of life on the cold hardy cacti.
The Pediocactus is in an unheated cold frame the whole year. So the higher temps are an advantage on sunny days in early spring.

Sorry, I've absolutely forgot to update this topic this season.
Meanwhile the usual winter protection is installed a long time ago and the plants have their winter rest.
Retrospectively to the past season the amount of flowers was somewhat lesser than the year before.
Anyway I've really enjoyed the flowers. Some of them I want to share with you.
