Hi Tony,

Quite the collection you have here. I am just getting started as a cacti collector after a recent trip to Big Bend and falling in love with the desert plants. I started to read up on some of the more rare cactus and found the Echinocereus chisoensis, but have only been able to find seed. I have about 7 seedlings under my care but don't trust myself to think they will make it to maturity. If you have any plants for sale I would be happy to purchase some from you. Do you have any available?

Tony, I would like to trade some cacti that I accidentally purchased two of but I don't know if you already have them.

This is one of them, since I bought a very big cactus just like this one last year, do you know what's it called?

Image

I have a single cactus like this one that I didn't realize I already had. Can you tell me the name of this cactus and if it ever flowers? I only see these black shriveled up things on it during the day and what I think is a seed pod, but I have never seen a flower.

Image

And I have way too many of these. Do you know what this cactus is called or is it a succulent?

Image

I found out this is a Echinopsis subdenudata (my avatar when it's blooming) and it leaves seed pods all the time (at top is a bud, in the middle are two seed pods). Are you interested in the seeds?

Beautiful plants Cynthia. :)

Your first cacti looks like pachycereus pringlei.
Next is a cactus called mammillaria spinosissima 'un pico'. The dried up black things are old flower remains and you are correct, you do see a fruit.
Next is a succulent called Haworthia, Maybe Haworthia attenuata v. radula.
last one looks right.
I have all of them but thanks for taking the time to post pics of them.

Isn't the distinguishing feature of "un pico" that it has only one spine per aereole? Hers has several radiating out which is what the normal species would have, wouldn't it?
I'm now selling plants on Ebay. Check it out! Kyle's Plants

That is true but that is what I believe it is and I dont have a better suggestion, of coarse I could be wrong.
It certainly does not look like a normal Mammillaria spinosissima or any of the other ssp to me.
Mine does throw out the odd two, three, and even four spines per areole here and there, but Im not cutting off the extra spines or changing the tag :) .

Some species I have only a few available and some there are many to choose from.
Shoot me a PM for more details and images if interested in anything I have.

All plants are 2/4 year old seedlings unless otherwise noted.
Most plants are $1.00 to $3.00 each, depending on size/age + shipping.
Unfortunately I can only ship within the United states.
Please let me know if you have plants or seed to trade, I am always on the hunt for something new.

Thanks Barracuda_47! There is one unusual cacti or succellent that I'd like to have from South America that I wanted last year but I don't remember what it is right now. I'd have to look it up again but it was not available anywhere last year. Some of my cacti are just starting to bloom and I will post the pics in the Members Topics section as Cynthia's Flowers 2013 which I haven't created yet. I posted all my cacti flowers in the Members Topics last year as Cynthia's Flowers 2012.
