The happiest moment for a cacti freak, open blossoms.
It looks beautiful, Dustin.

LOL thanks everyone! Strukto not sure on the species I purchased this plant a while back as a hybrid. How much truth is in that who knows?? Anyone agree with the hybrid or is it a specific species???

It was still waiting to be admired this morning. The flowers even opened up some more!

That's a 'screen saver' sort of flower. Beautiful!

Hey Dustin,
nice flowers. I agree with Tony, I think that's an Echinopsis spachiana, or also known as a golden torch. I can't wait til mine bloom like that, those are cool blooms!!!!

BTW how long does it take an E. spachiana to bloom?

(edit) looking at the bottom part of the plant it is a little bit fatter then a my E. spachiana's but who knows maybe mine are whacky cause they were grown in the desert of Arizona and not watered for over a year!
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

Dustin,
At first I thought E. spachiana as the others, but I'm pretty sure it isn't that.

If it is a species, E. schickendantzii or E. smrziana are possibilities.

Love the picture with you showing how much you like it.
