I'm Officially Addicted
I got a little bit of extra cash today and instead of spending it on booze like a typical college student, I rushed off to the local nursery in hopes of there being new plants for spring! (Ok, so I bought some booze as well, but that's besides the point)
Here are my newest additions.
I have no what this one is, but I love pink/red color.
Some type of agave. It had 2 pups that I split off of it.
This isn't new to my collection but this is my first plant to bloom! I'm so excited!
I'll try to get pictures of my full collection when I have a better camera, but I've posted most of it here:

Agava Amerinica "medio-picta" seems to be its name. Thank you all for the kind comments.
I'm really in love with the shrub style of succulents and avage seemed the next way to go. Any suggestions?
I've looked and looked and can't find out what type of catcus that is.
The booze was only a so-so addition to our collection.

I was looking in that thread about the mutant Gymnocalycium only to realize my plant was one of those as well.
Is the purple shading in mine natural? I can't seem to find any pictures of a Gymnocalycium with that vibrant purple flower bud that isn't a little purple/pink in the plant.

I don't think your plant is a mutant. This species does colour up, some more than others. You van get some spectacular colours in strong sun, although you'll need to protect it from the strongest summer sun. Pink buds are not unusual. A common form has pink flowers, often called Gymnocalycium friedrichii although its an invalid name.
