When the spines change its color to reddish-brown, if are wet it could be Gymnocalycium saglionis.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

I'm struggling with this one. I shouldn't have many wet plants because most of them are in a greenhouse, but maybe that just means I take more pictures on the rare occasions they get wet. I'm collecting pictures, maybe I'll move one of them to the contest soon
Fenestrarias like to be watered very lightly every night, just like the dewfall in habitat:
Sometimes my cacti get the same treatment
Mesemb flowers are designed to close up before it rains, but sometimes they are quick enough to beat my watering can!

I've got lots of wet plant photos since it has been raining almost everyday this month.
I almost posted this one, but was afraid it might seem fake:
Echeveria 'Mt. Etna' in the rain
Yes, those colors are real. This plant changes color dramatically this time of year, going from the reds and oranges of the summer and fall, to blues and purples as it grows in the spring.
These are also interesting;
Agave 'Mr. Ripple' leaf imprint, fly, and rain drops
Aeonium 'zwartkop' in the rain

I know its probably the wrong place to continue this but my labelled Gymno saglionis (which doesn't do the colour change with water)has the aeroles vertically aligned (and so do the pics on CactusArt whereas the noid has them zig zagging but I notice now that some of the Guide pics do that. thanks
my labelled Gymno saglionis plant
my noid now also Gymno saglionis
