Alright, let's see what we can come up with...
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

Can Yucca's qualify? If so, then can I change my submission?

Any Cacti or Succulent with a leaf qualifies.
Just remember the leaf needs to be the main focus

My wife said this one didn't qualify. Watch out for the next "spine" contest.

here is a pic of the full plant that I entered into the contest. I tried to get a id when I first obtained it, but green growth was to small to determine. Maybe possible now??

The long thin pads remind me of O. auberi. The flowers are near identical to O. cochenillifera.

I hesitated between The Echeveria shaviana (wich I placed) and this Cotyledon undulatata. They both have curled leaves, but this one has less color and a bud that leads away from the subject.
Nice topic this time.

I like the Cotyledon better!

Leaves? A Lithops is just two leaves
Nah, that would be too obvious, but here's one for here anyway. I'll find something else for the contest.

Lithops run when they see me coming. I just can't seem to get the watering cycle right.
I've killed dozens of them.

I feel like this should be in Succulent picture of the month as many of the pics have no true cacti.
Just sayin'
EDIT: Oh wait that's just succulent of the month, my bad
