I have a cactus that was given to me by my mother, she's had it since the early 70's. I thought it was Echinopsis oxygona, and it matched the profile perfectly, pink flowers and all, up until last year when it flowered white. I think the plant that flowered was a pup, but there's no way to know for sure, because none of them had flowered for about 10 years before that, and we lost track of who was who . I guess the question is, do oxygona sometimes flower white, and is it common for a pup to have a different colour flower to the parent?
Sorry, I don't have any photos of the flower.

When hobbies become obsessions...
Sarah,
The answer to this depends on the classification system that you follow.
With a white flower, I'd normally go with E. eyriesii, but the NCL for example says that is now a synonym of E. oxygona. So you can leave the tag or change it to eyriesii.
I think the purists will say that all oxygona have pink flowers.

All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
