OK here is something different. It is variable width now. Is it shrinking to fit as it should?

The problem is that all the pages aren't stretched out. Some right now are too wide or normal.

there are a few minor differences in text size on the buttons being smaller but i could live with that

Well at a variable width that is what happens. If the content is not wide, it doesn't get wide. It is not set to be 100%.
