I seem to recall we used to ask for potassium 8-hydroxyquinolin sulphate from a chemical supplier as being the same as Chinosol, but not being a chemist I don't know if this makes sense? Also I am remembering from the 1960's, therefore my memory may be wrong.

There is another record in Pubchem:
https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compou ... ne-sulfate

and this one seems to be more reliable. I made short query about the structure of Chinosol and it is, by all scientific - http://www.chemspider.com/Chemical-Structure.8318.html - and industrial sources - http://chemicalpesticide.com/chinosol-p105.html- I have found, reported as 8-hydroxyquinoline hemisulfate or pure 8-hydroxyquinoline. The tablets sold in Germany contain, despite the 8-hydroxyquinoline hemisulfate, the potassium sulfate (1:1 as a I understood). So, the proper home made solution should contain 0.5 g of 8-hydroxyquinoline hemisulfate, 0.5 g of K2SO4 in 1 liter of water.
Best regards :-)
