The first thing I did is started selling off my orchid collection and moved the fish pond that was inside the greenhouse, out into the backyard, Cause I gotta have my fish.
Now the greenhouse will be used mostly for growing epi's and succulent seedlings.
And the grass in the backyard? Well its days are numbered.
Here's the freshly laid pathway and fish pond just after it rained last week. I'll be filling the cracks with D/G.

Here is one of the new bed's with all the grass removed. The native soil is a sandy loam that drains well, but I will be mixing in about 50% Decomposed granite to about the depth of 8/10 inches deep. I havent mixed in the Decomposed granite yet, but its a start. My plan is to kill the rest of the grass with round up Weed killer and then top dress everything with D/G after its good and dead.

The pond is still a little cloudy after my 4 year old found out how much fun it was to throw BIG dirt clods in there while dad wasnt around.
