Alluaudia ascendens

Post by Wildfyre »

Does anyone know a good mail-order source for this? I really need to find one as a gift for a friend. She's succulent-obsessed and has her sights set on this.

Wildfyre,

I was not aware of this specie as it is generally not in the market. A. procera is widely available and looks to have a very similar look and almost identical growing habit. Unless your friend has a collection of alluadias, procera should do the trick. Otherwise a google showed several potential sources, but they all seem to be out of stock.

Thanks so much for the link! I've already e-mailed about availability :-)

Buck- I understand how similar A. procera is but she's pretty particular. A. procera may work as a substitute until I find a more affordable A. ascendens though - providing she doesn't already have it. Thanks for the advice!
