Seed life

Post by CoffeeAddict »

I am curious as to how long I can keep seed that I have gotten from a few of my plants in the last 1 month. I have E. Obesa, Frailia castanea, and Epith. micromeris. I don't really want to plant them right now. Maybe later this year around October or November or even later, early next year in February.

Some seed starts to go after just a few months, others can last many years without much deterioration. Frailea is renowned for a short shelf life and I had a feeling many Euphorbias were the same. They should keep OK until winter, I'm guessing you have a good number if they came from your own plants and it won't much matter if germination is 50% instead of 90%.
