Oh, I've tried a couple times. Heres some O. pulchella that germinated in 3 days.
Another time I didn't have luck and dumbed the pot in my wifes flowerbed- 2 years later they started growing
I do collect most of the seed but I discard of them. With all the varieties I have the seeds would likely be just hybrids.

Fresh seed works very well, I guess
Anyway Bill, with all your plants you can just keep on "cloning" by grabbing some pads and put them in the soil

Yup, stick a pad in the dirt and have a new plant
Faster results than growing from seed

Yes, actually, some of my seed growing are just to see how they look as seedlings

How old are the a. asterias seedlings? I sowed some asterias seed last week and now i have some tiny green blobs in the pot.

A. asterias are in a 7 cm pot and they are 4 month old.
