I got one question, wonder

if someone can help me.
Acanthocereus pentagonus (L.) Britton & Rose and Acanthocereus tetragonus (L.) Hummelinck are the same sp, or just sinonym?

According to Anderson's book The Cactus Family A. tetragonus and A. pentagonus are two different names for the same plant.
