Some of my kalanchoe beharensis plants are covered in these brown spots
Does anyone know what it is and how to stop it happening to other leaves?
Thanks!!
It looks like a mechanical damage to me (not a disease). Most likely it's been eaten by some kind of caterpillar.
Check the undersides of leaves for butterfly/moth eggs and/or small worm-like creatures crawling around your plant's leaves. You may remove them manually, or you can use some broad-spectrum insecticide.
Best of luck,
Nino
Hey thanks for your reply. I just checked under the leaves and there is no sign of any bugs or damage. They only seem to appear on the surface. It is happening to my other Kalanchoes too such as Synsepala (walking Kalanchoe). I have now sprayed them with a anti fungal/rust/fruit scab organic spray. Hope that stops it as I have to remove a lot of leaves from the plants. It's also on the stem.
