I like such cacti riddles and when I see unusual unknown plants I buy them for fun to grow and to ID.
This one is very interesting. Is it a bunch of different seedlings or one plant? I'd try to separate if different.
Reminds young Mammillaria heyderi (aff.)
Thank you very much Anttisepp
Me too, mystery plants adds an extra dimension to the fun of growing plants. I havent dared separating them, and from what I can see, they seems to be connected, not different plants potted together.
I am now debating wether to repot them ( all of the newcomers) in bigger pots with better substrate( all seems to be potted in a all organic medium) or not.. Several of them have roots growing out of the bottom. I am hesitant though, since it’s late in the year and the growing season here is pretty much over. Since we both live in Scandinavia, would you have repotted now or waited until spring?
Found another Mammillaria from the same batch ( me nagging the local florist for more cacti, seems to be fruitful.
) could this be Mammillaria sheldonii? ( 5 cm. pot)
