Escobaria = Pelechyphora

Phil put this link on the BCSS Forum. After using DNA to split Mammillaria in two as Mammillaria and an enlarged Cochiemia, the link below now combines Escobaria with Pelecyphora,

The cladograms and pictures will enlarged if clicked on and there are some new combinations near the end if you skip the heavy stuff.

Interesting... There are probably a lot more taxonomic surprises waiting to be revealed in the future :)
Growing mostly under LED lights, in northern latitudes. Especially interested in stem succulents and caudiciforms. Dreaming of my first greenhouse.

I joke that the only species safe from reclassification in each cactus genus are the type species
