Hi everyone,
Looking for any tips on extracting my Asterioides seeds, he's just a little guy around 1inch but pod looks pretty swollen. As I understand the flower is likely to never bloom since it is self pollinating so is there an amount of time or something specific I should look for before extraction? I make my own cactus soil will this be sufficient for the seeds or should I use something with a little more moisture retention? Does anyone soak them before sowing? Any help or tips would be much appreciated, such a big fan of these guys!

Just wait until the fruit easily detaches from the plant. Don't pull it from the plant. It does not matter if it has flowered, yes or no. Once the fruit easily comes off the plant, you can open the fruit en harvest the seeds. Should take a few weeks.
