Hello folks! I recently picked up a few unnamed plants. I have them all named now but this one. I would appreciate your input.

Mammillaria vetula ssp. gracilis
17 year old Cactus enthusiast specializing in hard growing North American species.

Hmmm... My other Mammillaria vetula ssp. gracilis doesn't look like this...

I have two of them, one is the cultivar 'Snowcap'. There offsets come up from the bottom not up the side. Thimble Cactus.

There are a couple of forms of gracilis apart from the hybrid 'Snowcap' including the even smaller headed v. pulchella. Given better light it will become more cpompact and closer spined as in the first picture below.
