To cut or not to cut?

Post by Adastra1018 »

So I got a beheaded Ogre Ear to root! At first it put roots out at the bottom, then at 2 other spots so I laid it on its side in case one root system dried out so it wouldn't be a failure. Well, now I have nice root systems in 3 spots and a bunch of new growth. I thought about separating it into two or 3 plants and sitting them upright but I'm not 100% sure where to cut, or if it's even worth it. I figure it I leave it be, the new growth will grow upwards and after a long while I'll have a normal looking plant. Thoughts?

I think I would wait to divide it until the roots have developed a bit more. If you cut it now, one half would have a pretty puny root system.
