I traded for this plant and the flower came very close to 6 inches across. I'm calling it a Flying Saucer, , only because it had to come from outer space. Surely it can't be a cactus?
The 100's starting last Friday, today expected 108, Wednesday and Thursday 110, and continue for the next 10 days. Just a normal summer here in the Central Valley of California. This morning something nice to enjoy before the heat melts the flower.

Last few days have been a California classic. Just started getting into the 70's and no rain for a week. Low 70's mean 100's in the greenhouse and the Mammillarias are showing off.
